Permits Foundation launches revamped website

To stay up to date with Permits Foundation’s latest projects and advocacy developments, the new website provides an enhanced, easy-to-navigate platform that informs global mobility professionals, employers, and partners, and strengthens connections with sponsors.

Brand-new platform

Permits Foundation has unveiled a brand-new website to better serve its extensive and growing network. With streamlined navigation and dedicated pages, it’s now easier than ever for global mobility professionals to explore the Foundation’s mission and its work in support of international dual careers.

Championing dual careers

Global Connection has long supported the work of Permits Foundation since its establishment in 2001. Over the years, the Foundation has consistently provided evidence-based representation when engaging with governments worldwide. Its goal: to promote automatic work authorisation for recognised spouses and partners of highly skilled, internationally mobile employees.

Driving policy change

As an independent, not-for-profit corporate initiative, Permits Foundation focuses solely on this crucial issue. Its deep expertise in best-practice work permit policy and legislation has led to tangible progress – more than 40 countries now allow direct work access for accompanying spouses or partners. Over 90% of employers agree that partner work authorisation makes a country a more attractive business destination.

Continuing global advocacy

The Foundation’s work continues to expand. At recent roundtable conferences in London and Paris, India was identified as a priority country where international employers are seeking improved access to employment for accompanying spouses of intra-corporate transferees. The new website also offers easy access to events, reports, media updates, all designed to help the community stay connected and informed.

The world map

Last but definitely not least, the new website also features the World Map of Mobile Spouse and Partner Authorisation, a tool Global Connection has long valued. It’s a quick and convenient way for Global Mobility experts and expat partners to check where the Foundation is active, which countries in the world offer direct employment access to partners and spouses, where restrictions exist, and where no access is currently available via dependent status.
